The Biology 211 lab is an introduction to some of the techniques used in cell biology. The laboratory reinforces and introduces some basic general laboratory skills and some of the methods that have been used to help us understand cellular processes. It also gives students some exposure to reading and writing scientific literature.

There are three hours of laboratory work per week. While most of that time will be spent performing experiments, there will also be some time devoted to experimental data analysis and to the reading and production of formal scientific communications.
