I believe in research-led teaching. Hence my teaching interests and research expertise flow synchronically. My teaching panel spans the following topics: Sustainable architecture, sustainability assessment and modelling, building performance evaluation, Internet of things and people/smart buildings, building information modelling (BIM), architectural topology optimization, traditional architecture, Islamic architecture and design, digitizing heritage, health and wellbeing through design, AI applications in arts, design and architecture, digital art and design, interior design and healing spaces, and design in dynamic environments.

I always elaborate interactive teaching strategy, where the students become an important actor in the teaching-learning process. Leading Architectural Design Studios from junior to sophomore and senior levels enabled me to adopt rigorous processes yet allowing tremendous flexibility for creative design thinking skills and project-based learning approaches [PBL].

I am an adept of incorporating digital tools in Architectural Design StudiosĀ  and architectural graphics and visualization as well as through the process-to-product design cycle.

I teach at both under-graduate [B.Arch. program] and post-graduate [Masters of Urban Planning and Design-MUPD] and PhD in Architecture and Urbanism. In the latter one I provide taught courses in areas of Urban design and Urban Planning, Sustainability Assessment modelling, Environmental Impact Assessment, HES in the Built Environment, Ethics and Professional Practice, Risk Assessment of vulnerable buildings, Life Cycle Analysis, Conservation and restoration, Mediterranean and Islamic architecture, Vernacular and Traditional architecture.

I am also involved in supervising and advising research students both at taught and by-research programs (Master of Urban Planning & Design and PhDs).
