A set of 80 Damascene heritage buildings were architecturally documented using the traditional method of measuring drawings. the project imitated and sponsored by Dr. Talal Akily, the dean of Architectural Faculty at Damascus university. Dr. Salim Ferwati headed the project. He formed two teams of architectural students at Damascus University and several architects, train them to measure draw traditional buildings with sginificant values such as Ayymad Msuqe, Bumerstan the Nouri, Kan Assad Bash, Alazam Palace, Almjaled House, Alnaoufara public Bath, Salahaldin Fort.  The time of the work consumed 4 continuous years of effort, starting in 1995 to 1999.  Here  are just a few examples.
