Biography

My name is Ola Muhammad Abu Rajouh. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Archeology and Ancient History from Jordan University with a GPA of 3.82/4 in 1996, and I continued my postgraduate studies in the same specialty and at the same university and obtained a master’s degree in 1999 with a GPA of 4/4. Since my graduation I have worked in the field of teaching Where I worked with my university as a teaching assistant and supervisor of the archaeological excavations of the University of Jordan, and at the same time I worked as a lecturer for social sciences with the Arab Cultural Association for nearly 10 years between (1996-2004), interspersed with work as a lecturer of the modern history of Jordan at Ammon University during the academic year (2003/2004).  I worked in the field of tourism security for a year between (2004-2005), and then I moved to work as head of the Planning and Evaluation Department in the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Greater Amman for two years between (2008-2010). Between (2011-2014) I was a Country Manager for one of the international organization (START ORCANIZATION) that deals with the less fortunate or disadvantaged. Finally, I joined Qatar University since 2014 until now, I worked as a teaching assistant in Humanities Department (History) – where I taught the History of Qatar until spring 2020 and at the same time, I was providing Academic Support to the course and other courses of the History Department, such as an introduction to History, Islamic Civilization, and others. Through my work at the Academic Oasis, I was a lecturer and coordinator for the UNIV110 course at the level of the College of Arts and Sciences (2015-2016). In fall (2020), I transferred to the CCP to teach (UNIV100) so far. Thus, my total years of experience in the field of education is approximately 20 years. Even during the three years that I worked as Manager of START Organization, I provided many educational and training workshops for young people in orphan centers and people with special needs, as well as in Palestinian camps.

     I participated in many committees of the Humanities Department, such as the Student Success and Retention Committee, the Conferences Committee, the Open Day Committee, the Coordinating Committee for Qatar History Course, the Student Affairs Committee, the Communication Committee, the Website Committee, the Communication and Logistics Team for World Philosophy Day, and the Committee  Of The Open day, the Faculty and Students Committee, in addition to the External Relations Committee at the College of Arts and Sciences level, as well as the Communication Committee at the Academic Oasis level and the Teaching and Effective Education Committee also at the Academic Oasis level  .

     My research interest lies primarily in the field of Archeology and Ancient History, where I published two research papers during the year 2020, in addition to my interest in the educational field, where recently I published a research on 9/2/2021 in the AJSP Journal.
