I was honored to complete teaching the “Deep Learning” course for this semester to undergraduate students at Qatar University and making all the lectures available on YouTube (25 lectures) as well as the presentation slides.
I dedicate this simple contribution of mine to our steadfast students in our afflicted regions, hoping that it will intercede for us, even a small part of our shortcomings towards them, God willing.
I hope making these lectures available will be a useful resource (even if modest) for beginners in the field who care more about understanding the basic principles and their details than just learning how to use libraries like PyTorch.
In fact, the credit goes, after God, to the textbook I covered, which presents the principles in a wonderful, smooth, and simple way, with great illustrations that I have never seen the likes of in any of the many books on this topic: Understanding Deep Learning, by Simon Prince (2024). Thanks a million Simon!
All comments on the lectures and the scientific material are welcome for a better future version, God willing.
