Dr. Tamer Sebaey received his BS degree in mechanical and industrial Engineering at Zagazig University, in 2002 and MSc degree in mechanical design from the same University, in 2009. During this period (2002-2009), Dr. Sebaey was a research and teaching assistant in the mechanical design and production engineering in Zagzaig University. Dr. Tamer joined university of Girona in Spain as a PhD student funded from the government of Catalonia and got his degree in 2013. Few months later, he joined Qatar University as a postdoctoral researcher and, sometimes a part time assistant professor. Dr. Sebaey is currently a regular assistant professor, starting from fall 2016, in the MIE department of Qatar University.

Dr. Tamer research interests include the design, manufacturing and characterization of the aeronautical composite materials. His contribution to the scientific community includes more than 20 journal paper and 25 conference communication. The best paper award was given to his work during the MATCOMP 2011. His PhD thesis was also awarded the best thesis award in the University of Girona, 2013. The current H-index of Dr. Tamer is 11 according to google scholar. He is usually conducting his work by doing the experimental characterization of composite specimens experimentally however, the analysis and formulations (either analytically or numerically) are of special interest for him.
