Hello,

Welcome to my webpage. I have received my PhD in marketing from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2006, and joined Qatar University in 2007. My professional and personal experience has been fulfilling and enriching ever since I joined Qatar university. I chaired the Department of Management and Marketing at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University between 2009 and 2016. I was Director of the Core Curriculum Program at Qatar University between 2018 and 2022.

I am leading key committees and initiatives at the university level and contributed to several national and international projects and served on many local and international organizations’ advisory boards. I am honored to have been recently nominated to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) to help promote innovation and excellence in higher education.

I have received several research grants including six NPRP grants from Qatar National Research Fund, and collaborated with outstanding scholars from reputable universities in North America, Europe, and Australia. My work in the area of Consumer Culture Theory, International Marketing Communication, and Sports Marketing has been published in reputable journals and edited books.

I have taught several courses in marketing at the graduate and undergraduate levels such as BUAD 802: Doctoral Research Seminar, MAKT 680: Marketing Consulting Project, MAKT 604: Marketing Management, MAKT 301: Consumer Behavior. I have received local and international awards in recognition of my teaching and research.
