My independent research interests have been mainly directed towards developing and implementing green and sustainable chemistry into novel products and processes. I am interested in developing new synthetic routes to organic compounds, starting from environmentally friendly starting materials. I have used key enabling technologies, including microwave irradiation, sonochemistry, mechanochemistry, solventless reactions, and catalysis. In general, I have developed a series of new products for different applications, particularly for oilfield and medical applications. My current research program focuses on the synthesis and performance testing of novel green and sustainable chemicals-based nanotechnology and biodegradable polymers for various applications, e.g., the oil and gas industry. In collaboration with national and international partners, we are synthesizing and investigating environmentally friendly chemicals to aid in the production and transportation of oil and gas. We have activities in gas hydrates, scale, and Corrosion. In addition, I am currently exploring a range of novel bioactive compounds for kidney stones and cancer prevention.

Here are my main research interests:

Organic polymers and biopolymers for industrial applications.Nanomaterials.
Bioactive compounds for medical applications.Nanofluids for the oil and gas industry.
Flow Assurance in oil and gas production.Transport in Porous media.
