A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Madhavi Indraganti is a passionate academic, and a licensed architect. She is an Associate Professor at the Architecture and Urban Planning Department of the College of Engineering, Qatar University (QU). She has been working in QU since 2016. Before joining QU, she was an Associate Professor at Prince Sultan University (PSU), Saudi Arabia.

Madhavi won two internationally competitive post-doctoral fellowships: The Fulbright Fellowship and the Japan Society for Promotion of Science Post-doctoral Fellowship. With these, she conducted post-doctoral research at the University of California Berkeley, and at The University of Tokyo, Japan.

A paper she co-authored won the Best-Paper Award for the year 2018 from Building and Environment, one of the best in discipline journals. With 2483 citations, a Google Scholar index of 24 and a Scopus index of 22,  She was also given the ‘Outstanding Researcher Award’ by PSU. She authored more than 55 Scopus-cited publications.

She taught extensively in India, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar taking a wide array of classes in Architecture and Interior design departments for more than 28 years in accredited programs. Under her supervision, five students graduated with PhD degrees.

She was placed in the top one percentile in the All-India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Dr. Indraganti did M.Tech. in Building Science and Construction Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She obtained a 5-year professional B.Arch degree and PhD in Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad, India.

Investigations into the inseparable meshes of architecture, urban and indoor environments, and sustainability interest her the most. An expert crocheter, Madhavi de-stresses with crochet, knitting, and sewing.
