Teaching:

I consider teaching to be a corner stone and center to our academic life and activities. Adopting new pedagogies, creating new courses and conducting improvements of existing courses is paramount to the quality of our education at Qatar University.

Since joining Qatar University (QU) in 2009, I have been involved in teaching and developing a number of courses spanning from core chemical engineering, senior design and graduation projects, general engineering courses and graduate course.

In my classes, I used various pedagogies and approaches in teaching the course such as:

  1. Problem-based learning
  2. Student-centered and learning outcome approach
  3. Flipped classroom style discussions
  4. Learning-by-doing approach
  5. Active learning assignments
  6. Cross disciple examples and discussions.
