I place great emphasis on conducting quality research that aligns with the Qatar National Research Strategy priority areas. My goals are focused on the advancement and continuation of building my research groups, establishing collaboration within and outside QU (on a national and international scale), in addition to supporting university goals of enhancing our subject ranking. I continue to be active in promoting interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research integration by involving faculty from my department, college, research centers and other QU departments in my research activities, which resulted in a good number of publications and joint projects. This is a testament to the importance of expanding national and international partnerships to leverage resources and create synergies for maximum research impact on capacity building and outcome. Involving early career Qatari faculty in research via joint student supervisor is an important element in capacity building and establishing long lasting research culture in my department and beyond.
