Biography

I work as a Lecturer at Qatar University. I teach first year seminar course and service learning that helps students develop critical thinking, time management, basic research techniques and broad range of other skills vital to success at university. I translated and adapted questionnaires to Arabic such as Questionnaire of Psychotic experiences (QPE), WHO mental health questionnaire, and Positive and Negative Syndrome scale (PANSS).

Previously, I was awarded national funding as a principal investigator to investigate psychotic-like experiences, such as delusions and hallucinations, in the general population and compare these experiences to those reported by patients with psychosis. I also study gender differences in personality traits across cultures. I am a proud reciever of L’Oreal UNESCO for Women in Science Award Young Talent Middle East (2022).
