Dr. Zeinab Jawad is an assistant professor in department of chemical engineering at Qatar University since January 2021. Prior to that, she worked as a senior lecturer (December 2017) and lecturer (May 2015) in the Department of chemical engineering at Curtin University Malaysia.

Dr. Jawad received her PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2014. She also obtained her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of Technology, Baghdad-Iraq in 2003 and 2007, respectively.

Dr Jawad’s research focus is on the development of mixed matrix membrane for CO2 separation. She has particular interest to understand the fundamental transport phenomena across the membrane and utilize this membrane-based separation technique to control the environment pollution issues.

On 29th March 2018, she was awarded the title of Chartered Engineer under Engineering Council (United Kingdom). Furthermore, she is an associate member in ICHEME, a member of the institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), and an assistant member of the Iraqi Engineers Union.

Last but not least, due to her significant contribution in teaching and learning professionalism, she awarded her title as fellow in advanced higher education academy (United Kingdom) in January 2021.
