Dr. Walid Massoud is an experienced senior psychometrician, researcher, and evaluator.  He has worked in corporate and academic settings for 20 years. His expertise is developing standardized exams, national assessments, item-banking, Item Response Theory, and large-scale research and evaluation studies.

He taught psychometrics and educational evaluation in master’s and Ph.D. programs. He has worked at the American University in Cairo and Umm Al-Qura University for the College of Education’s Evaluation Testing and Assessment Department.  Also, he worked at the National Center of Examinations and Educational Evaluation in Egypt and as a consultant for many regional and international organizations (the European Union, USAID, UNESCO, and the World Bank).  He has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer in a number of scientific journals as well. 

He joined Qatar University in August 2015. He is currently teaching in the Department of Psychological Sciences in the College of Education, in addition to being the manager of the Qatar University Testing Center.
