Dr. Wael Alnahhal, is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Qatar University. Dr. Alnahhal is active in research in structural engineering; computational mechanics; application of FRP composites in infrastructures; simulations of structural systems subjected to extreme events such as impact; and smart materials. He has served as the PI on a number of research projects and has received research funding of more than $ one million in the past two years.

Dr. Alnahhal is a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Ontario-Canada.
