We are currently looking for a Computer Science/Computer Engineering graduate for a research assistant (RA) position on NPRP project that has started recently. The project is tackling the problem of building scalable engines for “Big Graphs” in collaboration with Carnegie-Mellon University. The candidate should be well motivated, open to learn new research topics and state of the art tools, and willing to contribute to the building of a world-class research team (إن شاء الله). Working on MSc/PhD thesis (for graduate students only) on that topic is highly recommended. Background of any of Information Retrieval, Big Data processing, or Machine Learning/Data Mining is a “big” plus, but not required. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is only required.
The position provides a great opportunity to work in a very friendly environment, build personal, communication, and technical skills, and present your work at top conferences, while contributing to the research community of a new emerging field of Data Science!
If you are interested or you have any questions regarding the position, please contact Dr. Tamer Elsayed (telsayed AT qu DOT edu DOT qa). To apply, please send your CV and BSc/MSc transcripts.
