Dr. Shadi Yasin received his Ph.D. from Stuttgart University, Germany in 2008 after successful completion of research work in the field electron spin resonance in low-dimensional spin chains and metals. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Yasin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory HLD (member of European Magnetic Field Laboratory EMFL) in Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany. At the HLD, he conducted an intensive scientific research for more than six years in investigating the acoustic, magnetic, and transport properties of a wide range of modern and advanced materials under extreme conditions. In 2015, he joined the Physics Department at the American University of the Middle East, Kuwait as an Assistant Professor, and in November 2019 he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the same department. In August 2022, Dr. Yasin joined the Physics Department at Qatar University as an Associate Professor. Dr. Yasin’s research interests span from understanding the magnetic and acoustic properties of strongly correlated materials, physics of polymers, to field of modeling and simulation of solar cells. Dr. Yasin is author/co-author of more than 85 journal papers and international conference proceedings indexed by Scopus and Web of Science Core Collections, with an H-index of 19. He is a reviewer in several high-impact international Journals and a member in various international conference committees.
