Algal photobioreactor: co-CO2 fixation and nutrient removaL
This project aims to assess the viability of algal photobioreactors for implementation in Qatar through both (a) bench-scale experimental measurement and process optimisation, (b) pilot-scale demonstration, and (c) techno-economic analysis. Of specific interest is the influence of key system parameters on performance with reference to (a) the absorption and biological fixation of CO2 from gaseous effluent streams, incombination with (b) the removal of nutrients from wastewaters.
