Dr. Sherin Alfalah is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Core Curriculum Program, Qatar University. She was born in Kuwait and studied chemistry from 1999 to 2000 at Hebron University, Palestine. In 2002, she earned her master’s degree in Applied Quantum Chemistry from University of Bergen, Bergen, Norway. She then moved to the Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany, and earned her PhD in natural sciences (Theoretical/Computational Chemistry) in 2010. In the same year, she was appointed Assistant Professor at the faculty of pharmacy, Al-Quds University, Palestine.

Her research interests includes quantum dynamical methods. She is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Sherin Alfalah is the member of many international affiliations. She has authored of many research articles related to quantum dynamical methods. She was awarded the “L’Oreal UNESCO For Women in Science Pan Arab Fellows” in 2013.”Sherin is also interested in the “Writing to learn” approach as a method to teach science. Currently, She is working on a research project titled “Silicon Nanowires as chemical sensors”.
