  1. I have obtained research grant through Staff Development Scheme of Nanyang Technological University to develop a multi-objective model for decision analysis in supply chain. The research paper based on this work has been published in the International Journal of Production Economics.

Research Leader

  1. I was the Singapore Research Leader to conduct research (2002-2004) on industrial productivity in ASEAN region. The research was funded by National Science Council of Taiwan (Contract number NSC92-2416-H006-001) and implemented by National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan (The research contract information is also given in http://140.116.50.130/apmr/apmrsp/foreword.pdf). This research pertaining to each country was discussed and led by the Research Leader. The subjects covered in research were divided into productivity, research and development, technological development, human resource, and economics. One research paper based on the findings has been published.

Investigator in Energy Studies

  1. I was one of two principal investigators to conduct a study on wood energy situation in Nepal. The study was funded by the Regional Wood Energy Development Program of the Food and Agriculture Organization/Bangkok (FAO). The grant for this study was provided by the FAO and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in 1999-2001. A four part report has been published based on this study

  1. I have also led (as the principal investigator) a funded research on energy analysis of cooking. The research was funded by the Water and Energy Commission Institutional Development Program (Nepal) and was conducted at Kathmandu University, Nepal.
  1. I have led (as the principal investigator) a research/study under the grants provided by UNDP/Bangkok for assessment of energy use in Agriculture Sector in Nepal(1988-1989).
