Dr. Sami graduated from Mu’tah University with a Frist Honours Degree in law in 1996. Having received my LLM degree at the Law School, University of Jordan in February 1999, He worked as a Full-time lecturer of Criminal law and Criminal procedure. Before that, He worked as a legal researcher in the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission for three years (1996-1999). He obtained a scholarship from the University of Jordan to pursue my PhD in Law in the United Kingdom. He joined the School of Law, University of Aberdeen in January 2001 under the supervision of Prof. Christopher Gane. His research is concerned with the Criminal Protection of Right to Privacy. Dr. Sami’s thesis is concerned with protection of the right to privacy in the English and Scottish criminal justice systems. It analyses the extent to which the right to privacy is protected by the substantive criminal law of those jurisdictions, as well as in their criminal procedural law. A part of the examination the thesis addresses the question of whether there should be a criminal offence of violating the privacy of another.
