• ABET member in the CAC Commission, 1 April, 2014 to date. Serving as a Commissioner in the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), USA. The responsibilities of a Commissioner include serving as a team chair for evaluation of computer science, information systems, and information technology programs, attend commission meetings, and vote on accreditation actions. ABET, Inc. is the well international recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology.

• ABET Program Evaluator (PEV) 2006 – 2014. Serving as a program evaluator for the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), USA, since 2006; trained to evaluate computer science and information system programs.

• Evaluator – Distinction Program- Dubai Electronic Government [2001 – 2002]; UAE

• Member in the Computer Science Accreditation Board (CSAB), USA

• Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee – Department of Computer Science and engineering, Qatar Univ.

• Member of the College Assessment Committee – College of Engineering, Qatar University

• Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE)
