Biography

Rony Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor of Biomechanics and Kinesiology at the Sport Science Program in Qatar University. His research focuses on using the methods of mechanics to optimize human structure, function and movement in sports and medicine. He is particularly interested in applied biomechanics to sports performance, strength and conditioning, physical therapy and sports medicine. Recently his work is focused on optimizing physical performance of football goalkeepers in the diving save, investigating the clinical and functional outcomes of bariatric surgery and exploring biomechanical determinants of the clinical course of low back pain.
