Practice as Architect

I possess approximately two decades of professional experience, having worked with esteemed companies across various regions. During this period, I spent six years in Italy, ten years in Australia, and four years in the UAE and Qatar. My roles spanned diverse positions such as designer, client representative, project manager, resident engineer, and I also operated as a self-employed professional during my tenure in Italy and Australia.

My engagement encompassed a wide spectrum of projects, including urban design, master planning, hospitality, residential and commercial buildings, offices, and retail spaces. I assumed responsibilities involving designing, managing, and overseeing projects from their conceptual stages to their completion. This included tasks related to planning, estimation, and liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors. I effectively led teams of architects and engineers, overseeing the production of construction documents for public-governmental buildings and managing contract administration along with site inspection services.

Notably, I held the position of Head of Architectural Design at TK Engineering Consulting in Doha, Qatar, from April to December 2012. Additionally, I served as Project Manager, Senior Architect, and Resident Site Engineer at GAAE Architects and Engineers in Abu Dhabi (UAE), first from January 2009 to May 2010, and then from September 2013 to December 2013. During my tenure with the Neylan Group in Brisbane, Australia, I held the role of Project Manager from 2006 to 2008. Preceding this, I worked at ML Design and KH Architects in Brisbane, Australia, serving as a Senior Architect from 2002 to 2006.

My leadership, management, and design skills were honed through practical experience, as I managed firms and architectural departments for nearly 18 years in the industry. Subsequently, I transitioned into academia on a full-time basis in September 2013.
