Currently, I am working as an Associate Research Professor at the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) of Qatar University (QU). I received my Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science & Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. Later, I joined the Institute for Science and Chemical Engineers (ICES) of the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore as a scientist. In 2012, I joined Qatar University as a Post-doctorate fellow. In 2014, I became a research faculty member at CSD. I have over 15 years of experience in cost and energy-effective microalgal biomass production for various applications. At present, I am involved in several projects related to large-scale microalgal biomass production in the Qatari desert for food, feed, and fuel applications.
