Dr. Peter Kasak graduated as MSc. in 1998 and obtained his Ph.D. in 2003 at Department of Organic Chemistry at Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2001 he joined the group of Prof. R. J. M. Nolte at Radboud University Nijmegen. He was a Lisa Meitner postdoctoral fellow at University of Vienna before starting research at Polymer Institute where he was a senior researcher. In 2022, he became Research Professor. From November 2012 to present time he is working as Technical manager at the Centre for Advanced Materials at Qatar University.

His experiences include formation of catalyst for aqueous environment and electrochemical processes. He is keen on the modification and characterization of nanopatterned surface for electrochemical impedance spectrometry to be applied for early detection of several diseases, electrochemistry, in modification material for improvement of biocompatible and antibiofouling properties and study of mechanism of free radical polymerization.

He was member of the best research team in year 2010 by Slovak Ministry of Education, and awarded for Young scientist of the Year 2007 Jurnalisten Studio. His research outcome includes over 160 publications, 180 conference contributions and 5 book chapters, book and patents.
