I would like to thank you for visiting my home page and welcome all of you. Here is a brief background about me. I hold a Bachelor Degree of Commerce in Accounting (honors) from Sana’a University, Yemen and Master and PhD Degrees in Accounting from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Prior to my academic career, I have worked with audit firms in Yemen (as an auditor and senior auditor). I have partially joined the academia in 1998 and fully in 1999. I have been teaching accounting in different universities in Yemen and Malaysia. Throughout this period of time, I have taught many accounting courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. For the graduate level (MBA and Master of Accounting), I have thought Accounting for Managers, Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance. For the undergraduate level, I have thought Corporate Accounting, Financial Accounting, Accounting for Partnership, Accounting for Corporation, Taxation and Accounting for Financial Institutions (i.e. Banks and Insurance Companies). In addition, I have published several papers at various refereed journals in the areas of Intellectual Capital, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Islamic Accounting.
