Dr. Nader Elsayed is an Assistant Professor of Accounting. He participated in teaching a number of Accounting modules at a number of educational universities in the UK, and worldwide (Egypt, Kuwait and Qatar) since 2002. Besides this, Nader participated in supervising Master projects in Egypt and teaching MBA students in Kuwait. He is enthusiastic to publish research work, either empirical or qualitative papers, at a range of good quality target journals. Key papers have been presented at a number of conferences both in the UK and mainland Europe. They are within the wider field of corporate governance, executive compensation, corporate disclosure and performance. Further, He is aiming to broaden his research aims to include the study of accountability and governance in emerging contexts and emerging nations. He is a Member of European Accounting Association (EAA) and British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA).
In relation to show excellence in teaching, he attended the LTHE (Learning and Teaching in Higher Education) workshops, and awarded the LTHE Certificate from the Higher Education Academy in 2013. He obtained also the certificate entitled the Exeter Award in 2012. He participated in several administrative positions in the areas of AACSB Accreditation as well as coordinated the Students’ Activities and Engagement.
Dr. Nader research interests cover areas of corporate governance mechanisms (especially executive compensation, governance committees, code of best practice and related accounting standards), aspects of financial accounting and reporting, in addition to corporate disclosure and performance measurements.
