Professor Nedal A. Al-Fayoumi received his MA and Ph.D in Finance from the University of Wales, UK. He also holds MBA in Finance from the University of Jordan (UJ). Before joining Qatar University, he was considered as a distinguished professor of Finance at the UJ. Professor Al-Fayoumi successfully published a number of papers in Banking and Finance in high caliber international refereed journals, e.g.: Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, International Review of Economics and Finance, The North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Economic Analysis and Policy, Applied Economics, and Recourses Policy. His research interest covers a wide area, including economics of banking and finance in the emerging economies, corporate finance, and portfolio management. He has served as a consultant/advisor for international public bodies, several private consulting companies and financial institutions. During his academic career, professor Al-Fayoumi has been tutoring a number of modules at the under and the post-grad programs. He also received a number of research grants from European universities to examine different issues related to banking sector in the MENA region and to develop postgraduate programs at Jordanian Universities. Professor Al-Fayoumi handled a number of administrative positions at the JU such as a director general of the financial funds and an acting dean of the business school.
