Ms. Noof Abdulhadi Al-Rakeb is a Senior Research Assistant at the Social & Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI), Qatar University. She joined SESRI in October 2015. Her work includes questionnaire development, data cleaning & analysis using Stata and writing reports.

She obtained Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Qatar University (2007) and Bachelor of Economics & Administration, major in Economics (2002).

She started her career as Economics Researcher at Ministry of Economy and Commerce in 2004 for 4 years. After that she worked at Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) for 7 years and hold supervisory positions as Head of Quality Section then Head of Planning & Projects Section. Her experience in QOC included policies review, procedures development, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) development, strategic planning (Outcome-Based Strategic Planning – OBSP), annual (operational) planning, Project Management and Performance-Based Budgeting.

She delivered number of workshops to build staff capabilities in Project Management, Outcome Based Strategic Planning (OBSP), Key Performance Indicators and Qatar National Vision 2030. She participated with external committees related to strategic planning, such as development of Sports Sector Strategy (2011 – 2016) and evaluation of strategy implementation with Ministry of Development Planning & Statistics (as part of Qatar’s National Development Strategy 2011 – 2016).

Her research interests include applied macroeconomics, econometrics modelling, monetary and fiscal policy, innovation economics and entrepreneurship.
