Dr Maha Sellami is assistant professor in exercise physiology. Dr Sellami completed her PhD in University of Rennes 2, France January 2014. Dr Maha Sellami`s research area is ageing and exercise. Historically, Maha’s research has focussed on the positive antiaging impact of physical exercise at the cellular and physiological level, highlighting its specific role in attenuating the aging effects of each hallmark. Dr Maha has successfully published artickes in numerous high ranked impact factor journals. Dr Sellami studied physiological and immunological changes
accompanying aging, markedly affected by nutritional status. She co-supersived PhD students in Tunisia in their research about 1) Effect of time restricted feeding on immue system response, biochemichal markers, inflammation and muscle response and 2) Effect of multicoponents exercise training on physiological and physical performance in elderly population with Alzheimer disease. She was also awarded for “Nutrition and metabolism best research investigation” from NestlĂ© nutrition institute. Dr Sellami actual projects in Qatar University investigate relationship of physical activity and immune response in older adult..
