Dr. Mai Al-Naemi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management & Marketing at Qatar University. Dr. Al-Naemi obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011, followed by a Master of Science degree in Decision Sciences and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Brought up living abroad in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Turkey, and the UK, her passion for people, culture, and travel fueled her areas of research in International Business Management focusing on diversity, language and identity, migration, and cross cultural management. Dr. Al-Naemi’s research has been nominated for various prestigeous academic awards in the field of International Management. She is currently nominated for the 2024 Carolyn B. Dexter Award.
Dr. Al-Naemi has a diverse teaching portofolio in both the UK and Qatar. She is also active in engaging with industry and corporate education. Her consulting projects include government entities, the energy and the financial sectors in the UK and Qatar. She is concurrently working as an advisor at the President Office at Qatar University.
