After completing my PhD in 2006 from Louisiana State University, I joined the American University in Dubai for eight years before I moved to the University of Sharjah in 2014. In 2014, I joined Qatar University. Started as Economics instructor in the USA, my teaching experience spans over a variety of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. My teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of applied microeconomics and economic development. My research papers appear in world’s leading journals such as the Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Economics Letters,  Southern Economic Journal, Empirical Economics, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, Pacific Basin Finance Journal, Emerging Markets Review, Bulletin of Economic Research, Research in International Business and Finance among many others.
