I am a Professor in the Civil Engineering department at Qatar University. In 1992, I received my Ph.D. in civil engineering from Catholic University of America. My research interests include earthquake response of structures, analytical modeling of structures, and design and analysis of offshore structures.

I am also interested in the development of simplified methods for the analysis and design of concrete structures.I am currently teaching structural analysis, steel design and concrete design courses.
