Teaching experience over 15 years in Qatar, Finland and Italy in entrepreneurship, international business and sales management.

I have been a trainer, speaker, judge, coach, and a moderator in various high-level entrepreneurial organizations, contests and events, such as The Triple Helix Research Group at Stanford University’s Human Sciences and Technologies Advanced Research Institute (H-STAR), World Business Incubation Summit, Startup World Cup, Qatar Development Bank, and the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Qatar.

My teaching philosophy is to focus on a comprehensive style of learning; in which students are taught to combine different ideas and compose the overall picture; otherwise known as interactive learning. Students engaged in interactive learning participate in concrete activities, and then have the opportunity to critically analyze and reflect on those experiences through debriefing activities in the classroom. The characteristics of experiential learning allows for greater transferability and application of the lessons to other situations outside of the classroom. Moreover, the variety of experiences associated with this type of experiential learning tends to meet the needs of diverse range of student learners.
My goal is to engage students in a way that fosters their enthusiasm and inspires them to apply the learned material. My task is not only to supply a toolbox, but also to cultivate the use of the tools it contains. As an instructor, I believe it is my role to develop students’ faith in themselves and their abilities, while helping them find realistic avenues to bring their ideas to fruition. Such enthusiasm is both cause and consequence of active student engagement, a phenomenon I have witnessed repeatedly in my work with various startups and their journeys.
