I received my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and MSc. in Computing from Qatar University. During the B.Sc. degree, I was engaged in different research topics and areas including, physics, computer networks, and information systems that helped me to enhance my research skills and practices. Having a propensity for exploration and learning inspired me to pursue my graduate studies in Computing. My previous research experience work helped me during my master’s dissertation to accelerate my research practices. My master thesis presented video delivery optimization. It improved the video quality using IEEE 802.11e (Enhanced Distributed Channel Access) EDCA standard to leverage Media Access Control (MAC) layer recourses to optimize video streaming performance. Therefore, I used Network Simulator 2 (NS2) for the implementation purpose to conduct a performance evaluation study in my master’s degree. A 40% increase of AC size shows significant improvement of ERVL when no background traffic is distributed over AC[3] and AC[2] in the 802.11e. This work got accepted in IWCMC, 2016.

During the MSc. degree, I was honored to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the CSE department where I had to assist in several undergraduate courses and taught different lab sections for elementary courses. This new experience increased my confidence and my interest in teaching and made me have the decision to apply and join the CSE department as a Full-time teaching assistant in Fall2016.

Besides my current work, I’m working on integrating AI into IoT applications and solving different optimization problems.
