Introduction

Dr. Hamouda’s research activities are concerned mainly with engineering materials and design, Artificial Intelligent Applications in Manufacturing as well as reliability engineering. He has made a number of major contributions in these areas. His was is highly regarded by the scientific and industrial communities. I am also interested in applying my experience and insight in an integrated and cohesive manner to the state of the art in the emerging areas, such as nanomaterials and functionally graded materials, numerical simulation of composite materials, multi-scale analysis of carbon nano-tube-reinforced composite materials; formulation and numerical simulation of biomedical problems; among others
