Dr. Fatma Kayan Fadlelmula is a faculty member at the Core Curriculum Program, Qatar University (QU). Her main responsibilities include teaching First Year Seminar (UNIV 100) course for both male and female students in English, developing new Core Curriculum courses, and taking essential committee roles both at the program and university level.

She earned her doctoral degree in Elementary Education in 2011, complemented by a master’s degree in Elementary Science and Mathematics Education in 2007, and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Mathematics Education in 2004, all from Middle East Technical University in Turkey.

Before joining Qatar University, Dr. Kayan-Fadlelmula served as a faculty member at Elementary Education Department at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Turkey. She played a pivotal role in teaching pedagogy courses to pre-service mathematics teachers, conducting research in mathematics education and teacher training, and providing supervision and guidance to graduate students. Her professional journey also includes significant contributions as a research assistant at the Research Coordination Office at Middle East Technical University and as a multimedia content designer at a leading e-learning company in Turkey.

Recognized for her outstanding service and teaching contributions, Dr. Kayan-Fadlelmula has been honored with several prestigious awards at the program level, including the “Excellence in Service” in 2021 and 2019, as well as the “Teaching Excellence Award” in 2020 and 2018.
