My main responsibilities have consisted of initiating, launching, and further developing Business Communications Track-“The growth process for becoming a globally competent business communicator”.
This track is aimed to provide the students of College of Business and Economics a possibility to improve and work on their business communications skills needed in today’s multi-cultural working environment. Students should be able to give formal and informal presentations in English and describe the basic characteristics of the economy, company life and business culture in Qatar and other countries. Most important dimensions covered include small talk, presentation skills, negotiation skills, and business writing.
While teaching, I use a great variety of models such as active and constructive learning, and classroom flipping. I believe that students can gain control of their learning courses by studying course material outside of the classroom, using the textbook, videos, or case studies. The main goal is to cultivate deeper, richer active learning experiences for students with the help of the instructor.
