Rashid Al-Matwi (B.Arch and M.Arch, Southern California Institute of Architecture, USA |PhD in Urban and Regional Development, Cairo University, Egypt), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning | DAUP at Qatar University (2013-present). Furthermore, he served as the Secretary of the Board and Consultant at Qatar Development Bank. Prior to this, he held the position of Senior Advisor at the prestigious architecture firm AS&P – Albert Speer & Partner. Additionally, he played a significant role in the Urban Planning Department within the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Agriculture in Qatar. In this capacity, he undertook various responsibilities, including overseeing project planning, design control, quality control, and the management of architectural and municipal projects, both in the public and private sectors. His experience encompassed supervision of numerous architectural and urban planning projects.
