Dr. Chedli Baya Chatti holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He is specialized in economic and political sociology. In his thesis, he examined the issue of local cultures in the context of globalization. More specifically, he studied the handicrafts in Tunisia. For his thesis, Dr. Baya Chatti has received the Excellence Award from the Faculty of Social Sciences-Laval University. His teaching experience began between 2008 and 2012 as a graduate teaching assistant at the Department of Sociology at Laval University. He has also worked as an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Moncton and then at Qatar University. In addition to his professional experiences in teaching and research, he has been involved in several activities and scientific associations. His research career began in 2003 and his research interests are mainly focused in the following areas: Social, Economic and Political Organizations, Cultural diversity, Family, Globalization, Immigration, Sustainable Development, Human Rights and Innovation. Dr. Baya Chatti published a number of books and articles in scientific journals.
