Biography
I earned a Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering from Paris-Est University, France in 2013 and worked for 3 years as Invited Researcher at CEA France (Commission of Nuclear Energy) in several research projects. My main area of expertise includes mass transport in porous media, membrane fouling, and water treatment processes. Since 2015, I joined Qatar University as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Civil Engineering Department under a National Priority Research Grant (NPRP) where I worked with my team on the development of a novel membrane antifouling system in membrane bioreactors (MBR). My findings on these research topics are published in reputable international journals such as Chemical Engineering and Processing, Separation and Purification Technology, Journal of Membrane Science, Separation and Purification Technology, and Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composite. Later, I worked as Adjunct Faculty at the Engineering Technology Department in Community College of Qatar where I taught Mechanics of Materials, Materials Technology, Dynamics, and Introduction to Engineering Technology .I am currently Lecturer at the Core Curriculum Program at Qatar University where I am collaborating and learning from amazing colleagues. This enriching experience in Core Curriculum Program since 2018 in teaching First Year Seminar course was for me a great opportunity to be exposed to different active learning approaches and to learn about students’ backgrounds. I took advantage also to build solid expertise in educational technologies, approaches and tools that engage learners and enhance student learning.
