Prof. Bana Abuzayed is a Professor of Finance. She earned her PhD and MA, with distinction, in Banking and Finance from The University of Wales, UK; and B.Sc degree in Accounting from the University of Jordan, Jordan. Throughout her academic career, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses. Her teaching is specialized in bank management, corporate finance, investments, portfolio management, financial markets and institutions. Besides teaching, professor Abuzayed’s research interest lies at the market based accounting research, financial systems stability, financial integration and valuation. She has published a number of research papers in international Journals including Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, International Review of Economics and Finance, Applied Economics, Resources Policy, Economic Analysis and Policy, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Applied Financial Economics, Managerial Finance, and International Journal of Managerial Finance.  She has refereed a number of papers at international level. Prof. Abuzayed received research grants to examine different issues related to the MENA region. She has cooperated with a number of prestigious institutions such as International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). She also served as an Academic Advisor for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) community in Jordan and her team won ‘CFA Research Challenge 2013’ within the Jordanian universities to represent the Jordanian universities in London. She also has served as a University Chapter Director with the Global Association of Risk Professional GARP.
