Dr. Aya Okamoto is Lecturer in Japanese language, Department of International Affairs – College of Art and Science of Qatar University (QU). She joined QU in 2016.

Before joining QU, she was Assistant Professor at Hsuan Chuang University in Taiwan, where she was employed as the first native Japanese lecturer to establish the foundation of Japanese language courses. She also taught Japanese at Aarhus Universitet (Denmark) and Université de Lille (France).
