{"id":1751,"date":"2025-12-01T13:36:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T10:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/telsayed\/?p=1751"},"modified":"2026-08-07T13:57:04","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T10:57:04","slug":"gave-an-online-talk-at-ptu-palestine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/telsayed\/gave-an-online-talk-at-ptu-palestine\/","title":{"rendered":"Gave an online talk at PTU, Palestine!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">I was extremely pleased and honored to deliver a lecture in Arabic this week (via Zoom) at <strong>Palestine Technical University \u2013 Kadoorie<\/strong>, as part of the Master&#8217;s program in Information Retrieval, at the kind invitation of Dr. Areej Jabir. I was truly overwhelmed by the warm welcome I received from the department, faculty, and university administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture\u2014which lasted over 3 hours!\u2014was titled &#8220;<strong><em>LLMs for IR: Research by the bigIR Group at Qatar University<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;.
