Professor Dr. Yamine Boudhane
Professor of Communication at Qatar University, specializing in strategic communication and public relations. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Algiers and has published numerous peer-reviewed studies on strategic communication.

His recent works include:

  • “Media and Digital Literacy: Building Critical Thinking in the Age of Digital Media,” published in the International Journal of Social Communication.
  • A co-authored Q2-ranked article, “Awareness of Trauma-Focused Education and Attitudes Toward Incorporating Trauma-Focused Education in Curricula Among MENA Journalism Educators,” published in the Journalism & Mass Communication Educator.
  • A book chapter titled “The Impact of Innovative Strategies in Public Communication on Achieving Sustainable Institutional Development,” published in July 2024.
  • A joint Q1-ranked study, “The Metaverse in Communication Practices: A Case Study of IT Product Retail Stores,” published in the Emerging Science Journal.

Dr. Boudhane has actively participated in various conferences and seminars. His most recent presentation, “Event Communication Strategies in Promoting Corporate Professional Identity: A Field Study of Ooredoo Qatar,” was delivered at the Qatari Studies in Social Sciences Seminar in November 2024. He also presented a paper titled “Creating Digital Content for Public Relations and Its Role in Enhancing Institutional Communication Performance.” Furthermore, he has a study accepted for the Annual Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities by the Qatar Center for Policies, scheduled for April 2025, titled “Network Analysis Methodologies and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Understanding and Monitoring Public Social Trends.”

Dr. Boudhane has contributed to training workshops organized by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and other programs offered by the university in collaboration with platforms such as Coursera and Elsevier. He has also delivered training sessions for faculty members at Qatar University and other institutions, including the University of Setif in Algeria, focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence to design smart and interactive lessons.

He regularly publishes opinion articles in Qatari newspapers such as Al-Sharq and Al-Raya. Dr. Boudhane has supervised numerous research projects, including one on communication challenges in achieving sustainable development. He previously held leadership positions, including Head of the Media Department and Chair of the Scientific Committee at Setif 2 University in Algeria.

In addition to his academic and professional contributions, Dr. Boudhane has authored individual and collective books, published articles in journals and online platforms, and actively participated in conferences and seminars both in Qatar and internationally.
