{"id":966,"date":"2020-04-14T04:00:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-14T04:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/telsayed\/?p=966"},"modified":"2020-04-14T05:46:18","modified_gmt":"2020-04-14T05:46:18","slug":"our-arcov-19-dataset-is-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/telsayed\/our-arcov-19-dataset-is-released\/","title":{"rendered":"ArCOV-19 dataset released &#038; paper online!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our newly-curated dataset, ArCOV-19 has just been released <a href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/bigirqu\/ArCOV-19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> and associated ArXiv paper is online <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2004.05861\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ArCOV-19 is an <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arabic<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> COVID-19 Twitter dataset that covers the period from 27th of January till 31st of March 2020 (and still ongoing). ArCOV-19 is the first <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">publicly-available<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Arabic Twitter dataset covering COVID-19 pandemic that includes around 748k <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">popular<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tweets (according to Twitter search criterion) alongside the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">propagation networks<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the most-popular subset of them. The propagation networks include both <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">retweets<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conversational threads<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (i.e., threads of replies).
