I have given a talk titled “Research Issues You MUST Know!” to QU students (as a seminar in the series of the CSE seminar for Spring 2019), covering (some) research skills, misconceptions, and ethics.<\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong>\u00a0While conducting your research, there are some critical issues that you need to keep in mind as they define your integrity as a researcher. Some of the main issues we will be discussing in this talk are citations and self-citations, plagiarism, authorship and contribution, and research misconduct. We will also discuss some misconceptions about research that might affect your productivity (especially if you are new to research), and the professional and life skills you should have (and acquire) to be a successful researcher.<\/p>\n
