He has served various University, national and international committees. On a University level, he Chaired QU Press Establishing Committee, which in less than four academic years, it was accredited as a member in the Association of University Presses (Washington DC) moving from Introductory to Associate Membership in less than two years. He Chairs Qatar University Team in Nature Positive Universities Network. He Chaired both the Law College Center for Law & Development Advisory Board and QU’s Core Curriculum Program Council, and served HEPI report on QU’s reform implementation, among many other QU’s annual committees. On a national level, he is the Chairman of the Mediation Division at the Qatar Sports Arbitration Tribunal in Qatar Sports Arbitration Foundation (QSAF), a member of Qatar National Committee for Climate Change, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, President of the International Law Association Qatari Branch, member of Qatar National Committee for International Law of the Sean, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Board of Police Academy, a member of HBKU’s Environment and Energy Research Institute CO2 Cluster Program Steering Committee, and the founder of the Oxford Alumni Society in Qatar. He served as a member the Georgetown Center for International and Regional Studies Program Committee (Qatar), Qatar National Mental Health Committee, National Olympic Committee, and QF’s HBKU Law School Establishing Committee. On an international level, he sits on Harvard University IGLP Academic Council, International Association of Law Schools Board, the Editorial Board of Oxford University Press Journal of World Energy Law & Business, the Educational Advisory Board of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, Editorial Board of International Studies Journal, and Member representing Qatar in the Executive Committee of Islamic World Science Citation Center, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Arabic Encyclopedia and the Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies Unit, both at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. Under his leadership, QU Press held a unique dialogue with Nobel Prize Laureate Prof. Abdulrazak Gurnah where he chaired the session with participation of QU President and President of Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. He was among Oxford University alumni who were interviewed to shed light on their greatest milestones.
