He is currently a team member in a QNRF NPRP-C project entitled: Proactive Resilience Plan (PReP): An Integrated Framework Applied to Critical Economic Sectors. He has peer reviewed articles and a monograph published in leading law journals such as Georgetown Journal of International Law, Oxford’s Chinese Journal of International Law, International Energy Law and Taxation Review, and International Arbitration Law Review. His book “Joint Venture Agreements in the Gas Industry: Theoretical and Empirical Analysis” is published by Springer Nature in 2019 and indexed in Scopus within ASTI series, and was reviewed in Oxford’s World Energy Law & Business.

His key research interests, supervision and press inquiries fall within the topics of joint venture agreements, petroleum law and business, education reform, decision-making process, socio-legal studies, and multinational enterprises and foreign direct investment. He was QU’s LPI in QNRF’s NPRP which employed TradeLab benefits to Qatar as first university in the MENA. 

He was consulted by international law firms, educational institutions and governments on subjects related to joint ventures, education reform, natural resources legislation, and investment law.
